AquaClean — closed-loop industrial water recycling

BE THE FLOW

Turning polluted flows into sustainable cycles.

RYBSEN developed AquaClean, a patented closed-loop industrial water recycling system. Zero discharge. Zero waste. Already deployed across 14 machines in Tunisia, Algeria, and Côte d'Ivoire.

The problem

The problem

Every day, thousands of industrial sites discharge chemically polluted water with no accessible recycling solution. In offset printing, fountain solution — loaded with solvents — goes straight into the sewage system. This waste has a cost: for the environment, for groundwater, and for the businesses themselves.

AquaClean

The solution — AquaClean

Système AquaClean, unité de recyclage d'eau industrielle en circuit fermé

AquaClean captures polluted industrial water, purifies it in real time through 6 filtration stages driven by multi-parameter AI sensors, and returns it endlessly into the production cycle.

  • −90% reduction in chemical solvent consumption
  • Up to 24,000 liters of water saved per machine per year
  • −3.5 tonnes of CO₂ avoided per machine per year
  • Up to €85,000 in yearly savings for our customers
  • Return on investment in under 12 months

Since 2019

Cumulative impact since 2019

Since 2019, RYBSEN has deployed 14 AquaClean machines across both R&D and commercial operation.

~135,000 m³

of clean industrial water saved — the equivalent of more than 54 Olympic swimming pools

~94 t

of CO₂ avoided

These figures are a conservative estimate based on the confirmed average performance of our commercial units, extrapolated with a prudence factor for the R&D prototyping phase (2019–2023). Full methodology available on request.

Roadmap

Our sectors

Today: industrial printing. Offset press fountain solution is one of the most polluting and wasted water flows in the graphics industry. AquaClean already offers a field-proven answer.

Tomorrow: textile, agri-food, and beyond. AquaClean is designed to adapt to any water-intensive industry. A V2 version, currently in development through a Tunisia–France research partnership, opens the way to new high-water-stress sectors, including oil & gas.

Case studies

Nouha Eco Print

Sfax, Tunisia

“I spend €120,000 a year on chemicals. There has to be a better way.” After installing AquaClean, the results exceeded expectations: up to €85,000 in yearly savings, a return on investment in under 12 months, and a 90% reduction in solvents used.

Imprimerie Nouvelle MICI EMBACI

Côte d'Ivoire

AquaClean's first African installation, at the largest printing company in Côte d'Ivoire, with active support from the Export Promotion Center (CEPEX) and the Tunisian embassy in Abidjan. A milestone in RYBSEN's expansion across the African continent.
