RYBSEN is a Tunisian DeepTech/WaterTech startup that developed AquaClean, a patented closed-loop industrial water recycling system. Zero discharge, zero waste.

AquaClean captures polluted industrial water, purifies it in real time through 6 filtration stages driven by multi-parameter AI sensors, and returns it endlessly into the production cycle. The system is plug & play: it installs on existing offset presses with no line rebuild.

−90% reduction in chemical solvent use, up to 24,000 liters of water saved per machine per year, −3.5 tonnes of CO₂ avoided per machine per year, up to €85,000 in yearly savings for one customer (Nouha Eco Print), and a return on investment in under 12 months. Since 2019, cumulative impact is estimated at ~135,000 m³ of water saved and ~94 tonnes of CO₂ avoided.

14 machines have been deployed since 2019, across R&D and commercial operation, with 4 active commercial units in Tunisia, Algeria, and Côte d'Ivoire (including AquaClean's first African installation, at Imprimerie Nouvelle MICI EMBACI).

Yassine Rezgui, an engineer trained at Gobelins (Paris), spent nine years selling printing equipment before setting himself a precise mission in 2015: cut industrial water consumption. RYBSEN SARL was officially incorporated in June 2023.

Today, industrial offset printing. Tomorrow, textile, agri-food, and beyond: a V2 version, in development through a Tunisia–France research partnership, opens the way to new high-water-stress sectors, including oil & gas.

RYBSEN holds the only worldwide patent on closed-loop water recycling applied to offset printing. Patent FR3070137 was filed in 2017 and granted in 2020 — protected until 2037.
